Transfers: La Liga done deals 2023/24

You can bet your bottom dollar that El Clasico rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid will once again rule La Liga’s transfer market this summer, despite their respective financial difficulties.

Real Madrid’s financial difficulties pale in comparison to Barça’s, who had to use various “financial levers” last summer to enable Xavi to assemble a championship-winning team. Their risk partially paid off, but if their current strategy is to be successful, greater success in Europe is required.

Here is a breakdown of all the transactions between the two teams, as well as other significant La Liga transfers, during the summer 2023 transfer season. Both clubs continue to be notably alluring destinations for players from all over the world.
